  1. UUNET Terms and Conditions                               01-25-93

  3. 1)    UUNET exercises no control whatsoever over the content 
  4.     of the information passing through it.
  5.  
  6. 2)    UUNET makes no warranties of any kind, whether expressed 
  7.     or implied, for the service it is providing. UUNET also 
  8.     disclaims any warranty of merchantability or fitness for 
  9.     a particular purpose. UUNET will not be responsible for 
  10.     any damage you suffer. This includes loss of data resulting 
  11.     from delays, nondeliveries, misdeliveries, or service 
  12.     interruptions caused by its own negligence or your errors 
  13.     or omissions.

  15. 3)    UUNET may only be used for lawful purposes. Transmission 
  16.     of any material in violation of any US or state regulation 
  17.     is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: 
  18.     copyrighted material, material legally judged to be 
  19.     threatening or obscene, or material protected by trade secret. 
  20.     You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UUNET from any claims 
  21.     resulting from your use of the service which damages you or 
  22.     another party.

  24. 4)    Any access to other networks through UUNET must comply with 
  25.     the rules appropriate for that other network.
  26.  
  27. 5)    Use of any information obtained via the UUNET communications 
  28.     service is at your own risk. UUNET specifically denies any 
  29.     responsibility for the accuracy or quality of information 
  30.     obtained through its services.

  32. 6)    Payment is due 45 days after date of invoice. Accounts are 
  33.     in default if payment is not received within 45 days after 
  34.     date of invoice. If your payment is returned to us unpaid 
  35.     you are immediately in default and subject to a returned 
  36.     check charge of $25 from us. Accounts unpaid 60 days after 
  37.     date of invoice may have their service interrupted. Such 
  38.     interruption does not relieve you from the obligation to 
  39.     pay the monthly account charge. Only a written request to 
  40.     terminate your service relieves you of your obligation to 
  41.     pay the monthly account charge. An act of default accelerates 
  42.     payments to be due immediately, as credit is no longer 
  43.     being extended.

  45. 7)    Accounts in default are subject to a late payment charge of 
  46.     $50 and an interest charge of 1.5% per month on the 
  47.     outstanding balance. If your state law does not allow an 
  48.     interest rate of 1.5% per month, the maximum allowable rate 
  49.     for your state will be charged. If you default, you agree to 
  50.     pay UUNET its reasonable expenses, including attorney and 
  51.     collection agency fees, incurred in enforcing its rights 
  52.     under these Terms and Conditions.

  54. 8)    Service is invoiced monthly and may be cancelled in writing 
  55.     at any time with no penalty. Prices are for delivery FOB 
  56.     Falls Church, VA. UUNET reserves the right to change the rates 
  57.     and otherwise modify these Terms and Conditions by notifying 
  58.     you 30 days in advance of the effective date of the change.

  60. 9)    These Terms and Conditions supersede all previous 
  61.     representations, understandings or agreements and shall 
  62.     prevail notwithstanding any variance with terms and conditions 
  63.     of any order submitted.

  65. 10)    Use of UUNET constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
